Did you know that 1 in 7 people in the U.S. struggle with hunger? These 48 million people are often hard-working adults, children and seniors who simply cannot make ends meet and are forced to go without nutritious food.

- 48 million people in the U.S., including 15 million children, are food insecure, meaning they live at risk of hunger.
- 46 million people in America are served each year through the Feeding America network of 200 member food banks, including nearly 12 million children and 7 million seniors.
- 5.7 million individuals are fed by the Feeding America network every week.
- 1 in 5 children live at risk of hunger.
- 1 in 7 people are food insecure.
- 1 in 7 lives at or below the poverty level.
- 1 in 7 uses SNAP benefits (formerly known as Food Stamps).

Giveaway Post Prize
This week's giveaway is helping you get out to eat this summer while still helping those in your local community. 1 lucky winner will receive a $100 gift card to Olive Garden for them and we will also donate $150 to the winner's local community's food bank. In-Chat Giveaway Prize
During the #gno Twitter party, you’ll have a chance to win a prize. You will need to join the party on Tuesday, July 19 from 9:00 – 10:00 p.m. EST in order to enter the giveaway. Giveaway requirements and instructions will be explained during the #gno Twitter party. Four (4) winners of the in-chat giveaway will have $50 donated to their local food bank, and one (1) winner will win a $50 Olive Garden gift card.
