Awesome... love this topic! As a rape crisis advocate and survivor or marital rape, I would love to hear something on the topic of marital and intimate partner violence. It is estimated that between 33-50% of women in domestic violence are raped and/or sexually assaulted by their partner. Such a huge number to be receiving such little attention! I want women who are living it today to know they are not alone, it is not their fault and it is not ok!!

A huge thanks to Maggie, dammit! My story will be appearing on Violence UnSilenced within the next few weeks. Thanks for letting me share!

I won't be able to attend GNO because of previous plans, darn!

Blessings to all... I'm looking forward to this...although I'm here to support Diane's purpose, all of this is so important... all victimization! It's so broad of a topic but it really does need to STOP and we all need to do our part and I love the motto here at "Mom it Forward" changing the world one mom at a time... I'm not a "birth mom" but I have had the privilege of being a adoption mom to now grown kids... but I still want the world changed and bettered for our children, and our children's children...and in particular women... but trafficking is even with little boys and this angers me so... all of this constant violence and lack of respect and this billion dollar industry and emphasis...on $$$. May God forgives us and protect us all.

Thanks for your visit...I added your blog at the end...just for emphasis!

In Christ's peace, love and service,
Peggy

Lynn, thanks so much for your comment.

I think it'd be helpful for you to reach out to Diana at http://born2fly.org. She is very much involved in ending human trafficking, recognizing the signs, and knowing what to do to help. She'd be more than happy to share information in response to your question above.

Thanks.

Tell us how we can change this where we live?
I live near a truck stop. What would I watch for?
I recently saw a man about 35 with a "little" phillipine
or asian type childwoman...she was clearly happy
and very much "with him" and not as a child..but I don't think she was
over 13 at the most though I know asians look young
for a long time often.
What could I have done to make a difference?
