Sometimes, late at night, when the kids are asleep and the chores are done I sneak into the kitchen and whip up a quick hot snack. I usually make a 1-minute cake, but it's fall and apples are perfectly in season so I thought an Apple Crisp would be more fun.
I love that Honeycrisp apples are just coming into season. There really is nothing better than a big, juicy Honeycrisp apple..they are my favorite and are usually only found in the fall months. Really, any large apple will work perfectly in this recipe. So just use your favorite variety. If your apples are small, slice up two and follow the rest of the instructions.
