You’re a mom/dad, chauffeur, coach, blogger, and social media expert. You’ve got Facebook and Twitter down or you at least feel comfortable enough in these platforms to portray your identity and that of your blog. There’s a new social media platform in town and social media experts are crowning it as the platform that will explode in 2014. Wouldn’t you like to be an expert and take advantage of its soon-to-be explosion?

It’s Google+ and though it has been around for a few years, 2014 is its year to make a mark on the second largest social media platform. You may think that you don’t need to be on one more social media platform or that your head might explode if you add one more. Check out our few reasons why you should be active in the Google+ community:

Google+ is VISUALLY drive. Want to post a full screen shot overlooking the Mediterranean Sea? No problem! In fact, full sized images tend to get more traction.
Google+ activity directly impacts SEO. The more +1s a post gets, the higher its content will appear in a web search.
Google+ does not implement ever-changing algorithms that dictate which of your content is seen by which audience
Choosing to promote your content on G+ allows you to reach outside of the people you know – extending your reach to new audiences.
