Pool Jumping: The Perfect Ending to the Evo Conference

biz, tech, & social media

Last summer, I watched this fun video from Famous Footwear and was tempted not only to buy amazingly beautiful shoes, but also to jump in a pool in all my clothes. Now that’s the power of advertising!

A month later, I attended a cocktail party in Denver and when the general manager of the hotel showed our group the rooftop pool, I knew it was time.

Since that date, I’ve jumped in pools at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas and at Bloggy Boot Camp in Scottsdale.

And, how could the evo’10 Conference be complete without a group pool jumping after party following the Bush’s Beans western BBQ at the Park City Mountain Resort? It truly was the perfect ending to a fabulous weekend. Thanks to everyone who participated both in and out of the pool!

  5. What is with you and jumping in pools?!?!?!?

    I love it!

  6. Did you watch the video, George? I also want to dance on a table, have a pillow fight, and blow a really big bubble with my gum. :D

More seriously though, it’s completely liberating, fun, brings people together, and forms the funnest of all memories. Kinda takes you back to your childhood in a way. Soooooooooooo fun! Hey! I’ll be in NYC this Aug. Hmmmmm! This activity isn’t limited to us girls, you know.

When you guys said you were going swimming after the party I should have clarified, I went home, bummed out that I couldn’t stay since I didn’t have a suit with me! Now I’m so upset I didn’t just stay on for the company! I would have been in the pool in one second flat!

Thx again for such an amazing conference! Now for that twitter lesson???

OMG, I just came across this and had to comment! Now THIS is my idea of fun! In fact, I dove into a lake with my clothes on last summer. It was just getting off work when my girlfriends called and invited me to hang with them by the lake. Since my son with with his father for the week, I thought “Sure, why not?” I arrived, only to my surprise to see they were all swimming. They figured since it was going to be very hot that day, they brought their bathing suits. Well, of all the days, I didn’t have my bag which had my shorts and tank top to change into, I was only wearing a red long sleaved shirt and black jeans. only that didn’t stop me, I went ahead and removed my shoes and socks, walked over to the edge of the floating boat dock and dove in the lake. It felt so good and refreshing. When I surfaced, my girlfriends were all clapping and laughing. They all hi-fived me and we all spent the next two hours swimming before heading home. Nothing like driving barefoot home in your soaking wet clothes, lol! Hey, I’d do it again!!! =)

  16. Love it!!! Sounds like you had sooooo much fun!

You need to come to the evo Conference. Pool jumping with all of our clothes on is becoming an annual ritual. So fun!

    xoxo
