#gno information!

Summer vacay is such a fun time for kids. But, as a parent, do you ever get concerned about how much they’re continuing to learn during the break? Wish you had a way to bridge the summer learning gap and avoid learning loss?

Then join the #gno Twitter party here this Tuesday, May 18 from 9-11 ET (8CT, 7MT, 6PT). What a better way to get tips than to chat with the fabulous folks from Carson Dellosa, a leading educational solutions provider for both educators and parents, and other #gno gals. Details, including how to enter a Carson Dellosa giveaway (5 winners!), are included below.

Note: Mom It Forward accepts paid sponsorships for most #gno Twitter parties. During the parties, brand sponsors provide tips, techniques, expert advice, and information on party topics. Mom It Forward is grateful for the giveaway prizes, coupons, and discounts that sponsors also provide to the Mom It Forward community in conjunction with #gno Twitter parties.

Great topic! I was just reading a Malcolm Gladwell book and he went over some pretty scary statistics on how much a child’s average can decrease during the summer months.

My kids so need this. I think summer is a great opportunity to catch up on reading, math, and the basics. Thanks for hosting!

I get a Summer Bridges book every year for my oldest (rising 6th this year). Last summer I got each of the twins the PreK to K book. THEY LOVED IT!!! Everyone had work time each day. That, combined with visits to the public library, it made for a great ‘working’ summer!!

I love this topic! We still have so much to offer our children even if they are at school all day during the school year. The summer is an awesome opportunity to engage and foster a love of learning with our children…. the flexibility to really show our kids practical application (sadly missing in much of the current school curriculum) in fun and creative ways!

  8. looking forward to it… oh wait, it’s right now.

  9. Kudos for publishing this. It addressed a good deal of questions that I had.
