Sanborn Western Camps Giveaway: Win a 16-Day Kid’s Summer Camp Adventure
Thousands of kids go to summer camp each year, continuing a summer tradition that’s been around for generations of American children. Sanborn Western Camps is continuing this tradition in the beautiful Colorado Rocky Mountains. Many campers believe that Sanborn is a “home away from home.”
They provide children with the structure they need and the decision-making opportunities that they want. They believe that managed risk, whether that be leaving home for a two week period, backpacking for the first time, or living and working with a diverse group of individuals in a backcountry environment, is essential for a child’s personal growth.
The Prizes
This week’s #gno is all about how to incorporate outdoor play into your family’s busy life and how summer camp benefits kids. Sanborn Western Camps is rewarding one lucky winner with a full tuition ($2150 value) to their Sanborn Junior Program at High Trails Ranch for Girls or Big Spring Ranch for Boys (for kids finished with 1st-4th grades) for either summer 2012 OR summer 2013 (based on availability).
Another winner will receive a giveaway of a family pack of safety reflectors (ARV: $24). The darker winter months can be an added challenge to getting kids and adults outdoors. We think getting dressed for the weather and increasing your visibility is one of the most important steps anyone can take to enjoy being outside. Being seen as a cyclist, pedestrian or a child playing outside is the first step in preventing accidents. Reflector can make it much safer and help prevent accidents where kids and traffic meet. After all, every day is an outside day.Wearing reflectors this time of year can prevent accidents for adults and kids.

There are so many activities listed that our grandson would love! One of his favorites would be fishing, tubing and nature explorations on the South Platte River!

I think my son would enjoy the over-night astronomy themed trips the most, because he loves learning the constellations.
I personally would love the SOLE activities for him. We’re homeschoolers & rural. I always worry that he’s not getting enough leadership opportunities & I’d love to see him flourish with the SOLE program. It sounds really wonderful.
But what about Sanborn Camps doesn’t sound wonderful?
