Supplies to Make the Halloween Table Runner

Wide burlap ribbon
Plastic bag or waxed paper
Bat Stencil
Black Paint
Stencil Paint Brush

Supplies for stenciled halloween table runner

Making a Simple Halloween Table Runner

Start by cutting the burlap ribbon the length of your table, then pulling out threads to make a fringe.

Pull strings on the burlap table runner to create frings

Place a plastic bag, waxed paper, freezer paper, or other surface under the burlap. This will catch any paint that seeps through during stenciling, and protect your table top.

Place bag underneath to protect the surface

Place the stencil on top of the burlap, and paint. Use only a small amount of paint, and carefully dab.

Use stencil on burlap to create Halloween shapes

Repeat with the other side, and your stenciled table runner is complete!
