Bolthouse Farms Giveaway: Win an Assortment of Juices, Dressings, and Carrots
Food Day is on Monday, October 24 and it seeks to bring everyone together to make people embrace healthy, affordable food produced in a sustainable, humane way. In addition to large events in public spaces, Food Day encourages families to have healthful potluck dinners with friends, and to use these gatherings as opportunities to talk informally about food and our nation’s food system. For inspiration, FoodDay.org will post a number of delicious recipes from well-known chefs and cookbook writers.
Food Day is asking people to “Eat Real” and asking Congress to support Food Day’s goals:
- Reduce diet-related disease by promoting safe, healthy foods
- Support sustainable famrs and limit subsidies to big agribusiness
- Expand access to food and alleviate hunger
- Protect the environment and animals by reforming factory farms
- Promote health by curbing junk-food marketing to kids
- Support fair conditions for food and farm workers
