Family Fun: Spring Break Travel Ideas

AH!  The anticipation of Spring Break!  It is a break for the kids so they can forget about school and have fun.  But sometimes it is a time for adults to get away from everyday life, too.  As you plan, think about how your family likes to spend time together and go from there.

What to do for Your Family's Spring Break

Here are some options of fun family trips for spring break:

Fun in the Sun

Head to the beach.  Pack the sunscreen, sand toys, beach ball and a book or two for yourself.  Relax on the beach while the kids play in the sand or the ocean.  Spring weather at the beach can be unpredictable so pack a sweatshirt or sweater just in case.

Cruising

An all inclusive getaway to a tropical paradise may be just what your family needs.  Get some sun, take a dip in the pool, see a show or eat to your hearts content.  Your job is to relax and have fun; everything else is taken care of.

Camping in the Great Outdoors

If your family loves the outdoors, take a week long camping trip to a national park.  During the day you can take in the sights of nature along trails, go fishing, ride bikes and a multitude of other outdoor activities.  At night sit by the campfire and roast wienies and make s'mores.  Yummy!  But be prepared for chilly nights.

Spring Skiing

Do you want more winter?  Some ski resorts still have plenty of snow for an enjoyable time.  Hit the slopes, go ice skating or tubing, then relax in the heated pool or hot tub at the end of the day.

Need a budget friendly spring break escape?

Stay local by visiting museums, the aquarium, the zoo, national parks, amusement parks or anything else your city or state has to offer. There may be fun attractions within an hour or two from home to take advantage of and enjoy.
