Holidays are a fun time for families, filled with memories of holiday gatherings, presents, and hectic schedules. The holidays are also the perfect time to strengthen the bonds between your family members by spending quality time together.

Hasbro advocates families spending time together. Games are a great way to keep everyone happy, as well as help family members build skills. Make the most of family time with Dr. Christine Carter’s tips:

Extend dinner by 20 minutes to include a family game
Plan in advance. Use stickers or colored markers on the family calendar to help remind the whole family about when Game Night will take place.
At first don’t keep score, instead focus on the fun of the games. Then eventually go back to keeping score to teach the important skill of winning and losing gracefully
Have a game for everyone. Keep a wide selection of games in your home to be sure there’s something for all ages.
Be the fun family in the neighborhood by inviting your kids’ friends over to join in the games.
