All Natural Chocolate Peanut Butter Hearts

foodsweet treats

Peanut butter and chocolate are a huge hit in our household.  Especially with my husband who is a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup fanatic. However, we are very health conscious in our house. So even though my husband LOVES store bought peanut butter cups, we rarely buy them.Instead I make something equally delicious (according to him even better) without all the added sugars, corn syrup, or other junk they put into candy these days.

  Chocolate Peanut Butter Hearts

Super simple to make with the silicon heart trays.

Here is a more healthy recipe for Chocolate peanut butter hearts.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup All Natural Peanut Butter
1-2 tbsp. coconut flour depending on how runny your peanut butter is.
2 tbsp. Organic Raw Honey
1/4 tsp. sea salt (if peanut butter is salted leave this out)
1 cup Dark Chocolate Chips
1 tsp. Coconut oil

Directions:

In a medium bowl, mix together Peanut Butter, coconut flour and sea salt.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate chips and coconut oil on the defrost setting of your microwave stirring a few times.
Fill the bottom of a silicone mold with a small amount of the melted chocolate.
Spread around the sides to even it out.
Scoop a small amount of the peanut butter mixture into the center of the chocolate molds.
Cover the peanut butter with the remaining chocolate and tap to even out.
Refrigerate for an hour or freeze for 20-30 minutes then pop out of the mold and store in a Tupperware container.

* If you don't have a mold you can also chill the peanut butter mixture for about 30 minutes or until firm. Roll into small balls and put them in the freezer for 10 minutes. Then dip them into the melted chocolate and put them on parchment paper back in the freezer until they set up.
