#gno information!#gno featured

School’s out for summer and that means it’s time for summer vacation filled with exciting family trips, swim lessons, and sports games. It’s also an important time to keep kids engaged and learning. How do you keep your kids learning during summer vacation?

Research shows that students experience significant learning loss when they do not participate in educational activities during the summer months, and that loss is even greater among children in low-income communities.

Thankfully, PBS KIDS is offering parents free resources and partnership activities to help fuel learning over summer break. Online, parents and caregivers will find free, downloadable activity guides and printables to host reading parties and more on PBSPARENTS.org/read. Literacy-focused games and activities will be available for kids at PBSKIDS.org/read.

Education.com is offering a free Do-It-Yourself Summer Reading Camp to help you host 10 weeks of reading camp – each week featuring its own theme. Education.com has created activities for every grade level, so get started creating your family’s summer reading adventures
