I had gotten into this horrible habit of eating out fast food literally every day for lunch. And not just any fast food, but fried food with a Coke to wash it down. I kept telling myself I'd eat healthier, but my crazy busy schedule made that mindless, although beyond unhealthy, meal decision such an easy choice.

Things changed when I went on my recent month-long adventures, including four back-to-back trips. I found myself out of my routine and in a better position to skip the fast food. As luck would have it, at nearly the same time, I got offered the opportunity to participate in the Einstein Bros. ‘Coffee & A Bagel’ campaign. Einstein's not only offers healthy lunch choices, but they also treated me to a few meals so I could find out exactly what I liked. Bonus!

After a month of no fast food, when I returned to town, I couldn't stand the thought of eating fried food and immediately headed for Einstein's. My favorite so far is the Bros. Bistro House Salad made up of spinach leaves, gorgonzola cheese (did someone say cheese? mmmm!), candied walnuts, and a delicious raspberry vinagrette. It's chock full of flavor! The other thing is that it's versatile. If you're a vegetarian, this is your salad. If you want to add chicken, go right ahead. Lactose intolerant? Hold the cheese! Either way, it's a better option than fried food any day because it's both healthy and filling. And, water is the perfect compliment! Score!

The best part, I'm not the only one Einstein Bros. Bagels wants to treat to breakfast, lunch, or snacks! Yes! They want to treat one of you, dear readers!
