PBS KIDS: Tuesday #gno Twitter Party on Summer Learning

#gno information!#gno featured

School’s out for the summer…or it will be soon! How do you plan on bridging the learning gap during the summer? What fun activities do you have planned for your kids to keep the educating going throughout the summer months?

One way to help your kids continue to learn is through PBS KIDS’ The Electric Company. The Electric Company Summer Learning Program builds on the success of the television series The Electric Company – funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) and airing on PBS KIDS – in teaching crucial areas of literacy, numeracy and the vocabulary of math. The summer program, created by Sesame Workshop, is designed to promote school readiness, with a particular emphasis on reaching children in low-income areas.

The summer program's centerpiece is a curriculum that employs a consistent narrative story line across multiple forms of media, including television episodes, online gaming and printed materials, to reinforce educational concepts.

Be sure to tune into The Electric Company and don't forget to join the party on Tuesday, June 19!
