Creepy Halloween Dip for Party Appetizer

recipes

It only takes three ingredients and 10 minutes to creepy your guests out with this Creepy Halloween Dip! A couple years ago, my daughter was invited to a Halloween birthday party and the mom was so creative and went all out on the creepy party food.  This was one of my favorites from her table that year...it's so simple, so gross, but so good!

Creepy Halloween Dip (aka Guacamole)

Essentially, hollow out the inside of a large cauliflower keeping the florets intact and then add some salsa and guacamole.  It's so super duper easy, but it is really creepy looking just sitting in your fridge or on the party table. Use your favorite salsa and guacamole brand or make them from scratch with your favorite recipes.

Creepy Halloween Dip - Halloween Party Appetizer

What do you think?  Too creepy to eat?  Nah....guacamole is delicious no matter how it's served, even if it does look the a brain.  I hope you enjoy making this fun Halloween party food for you next event. Creepy Halloween Dip (aka Guacamole)

Ingredients for Creepy Halloween Dip

1 head cauliflower
1 jar favorite chunky salsa
1 package or your favorite recipe for guacamole
small, food safe paint brush Creepy Halloween Dip (aka Guacamole)

Directions for Creepy Halloween Dip

Wash and dry cauliflower well.  Let it drain upside down for 10-15 minutes.  On a large clean white (or black) plate pour salsa to cover the bottom.

Gently cut the core out of the bottom of the cauliflower and using a knife to cut a deeper hole about 1/4 of the way into the cauliflower (make sure to keep the florets all intact) to create a bowl.  Place cauliflower on plate of salsa with the hole facing up.

Using a small paint brush (I tried several methods and the paint brush worked the best), dip into the salsa and paint down the cracks of the cauliflower.  Do as much or as little as you'd like.

Add prepared guacamole to the center of the cauliflower. Serve with chips for dipping!

Do you have a party you're going to for Halloween? If not you might have to host one just to try this dip!
