Family Mealtime: Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese Taste Test

How to Host Your Own Mac and Cheese Taste Test
Step 1. Buy one of each variety of Kraft Homestyle Mac and Cheese.
Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese comes in five varieties: Hearty Four Cheese, Sharp Cheddar & Bacon, White Cheddar, Creamy Broccoli, and Southwest Tortilla. The microwavable bowls, which can be used for single servings or for a family dinner, cost $2.49 and are available at grocery stores, drug stores and mass merchandisers nationwide.
Step 2. Prepare one of bowl of each variety.
Each Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese takes 5 minutes to prepare. Just mix the hearty ridged macaroni and seasoning with water, and then microwave for 4.5 minutes. Finish by stirring in creamy real KRAFT cheese, and top off with a crunchy topping like breadcrumbs, bacon or tortilla chips.
After cooking each one, cover the top to keep warm and put the label from the packaging in front of the bowl to keep track of which bowl has what flavor.
Step 3. Make a healthy side dish.
What side dishes do you typically serve with pasta? At our house, we love having salad for family mealtime. Make your favorite healthy side dish for a well-balanced meal.
Step 4. Set the table for the taste test.
We set the table as normal. In the middle, we placed each of the five bowls in a circle with the corresponding label in front of it, identifying which flavor it was. We numbered each label. We brought a paper and pen to the table to tally the votes.
Step 5. Eat and vote.
We dished up a small serving on each plate and we tasted all of the varieties. When we were done with the taste test, we voted from 1-5, 1 being the highest, on our favorite flavor.
Step 6. Choose a winning Mac and Cheese flavor.
And the winner was... Hearty Four Cheese (featured third to the right in the picture below)! Runners up, in order, were: Sharp Cheddar & Bacon (at top), White Cheddar (my personal favorite, second in the picture), Southwest Tortilla (my least favorite, but my husband's preferred variety, featured fourth), and Creamy Broccoli (last in the line up).
