PBS KIDS GO!® Giveaway: Win an Electric Company and PBS KIDS GO!® Prize Pack!
The Electric Company is a TV show, an online destination, and a community outreach experience that offers 6-9 year old children an engaging and entertaining portal into the world of literacy. This reinvention of the classic 70's show continues its' predecessor's aim of being at the edge of cool by drawing on animation, comedic styles, current music, pop culture and celebrities of today. In each episode, The Electric Company is called upon to solve a problem created by a group of tricky neighborhood Pranksters.
We kicked off May with a new Transmedia twist; Prankster Planet. On this planet, kids learn while having fun. Each Prankster Planet television segment on PBS Kids signs-off with a call-out for the website where gameification rules with 12 multilevel quests, 60 mini-games, and an avatar-creator. On this extension of the current The Electric Company web site, kids build literacy and math-related vocabulary skills while helping Jessica and Marcus save the day! The Electric Company uses this cross-platform formula to transport viewers from the television show to the website and back again, putting kids in the middle of the adventure, side-by-side with The Electric Company. Look out for the kid’s magazine “The Lost Guide to Prankster Planet” coming this fall!
The Prizes
This week's giveaway is all about engaging and educational media for children. Five lucky winners will receive a PBS KIDS GO! prize pack (ARV: approx $50).
