I have brightened my 5yr old grandson sons day by doing choice (number 4.Give others heartfelt compliments) he is having a hard time being new to kindergarten and there school has the drop off policy and not only is he having a hard time opening that big door to the schools front the school requires all kids to go line up in the gym by age and then the teachers come to get the kids for there room and the gym waiting really intimidates him around the big kids and all but one day now he has really cried at both. So I tell him each morning at drop off and pick up just how proud I am of him and that after a few times at something new the fear of it will pass and he will soon enjoy the benefits of school and making new friends and lots of hugs for him as a reward too! Self confidence can only be made in children with love/praises & patients by building them up not taring them down.
