    I place pretty trash cans throughout the party area. I cover the outside of a 13 gallon trash can with fabric. It looks nice and trendy and will help guests clean up after themselves!

    Whenever possible, I host parties outdoors. Especially for my kids birthday parties: kids love outdoor parties and partying at a local park means less clean up at home!

    To make party clean up easier, I make sure we have all the packages for cups and utensils in a separate room, and they’ll assist in a quick cleanup and provide easy storage until the next party.

    One great tip is to have many trash cans w/strong trash bags placed throughout the party area. Also, continue to tidy up during the party and normally others will notice you and lend a helping hand. But don’t go overboard with tidying up, remember it’s a party (have fun).

    Clean up as the party is going, that way there’s no giant mess at the end! Hire someone to clean the carpet like Stanley Steamer after having a kids party….trust me, it’ll need it, and it’s so nice to have someone else do the work!

  29. Leave small trash cans with liners around the party area so guests can toss their trash as they finish with it. It’s much faster to pick up three or four trash cans than it is to pick up lots of loose trash!

    Fav clean up trick is to give swiffers to the kids and they love to use it to sweep the floors (you can make the handle shorter just for their height)

    I always place a lot of large wicker baskets all around & line them with disposable garage bags for use as trash containers. Then my guests can just drop their paper plates/bowls/cups & plastic utensils right into the trash. As I go through & talk with people, I pick up & throw out any garbage I see laying around. Then after the party, it’s just a matter of putting leftovers away! :)

    I always provide kids with flavored water juice boxes at my parties because water is clear so spills are not a big deal.
