Summer Fun: Get Out and Play!
Now that school is out summer fun can officially begin. Summer is a great time to get outside with your kids and have some fun in the sun! During this beautiful season, playing out in the open is a fun opportunity to spend quality bonding time with family and friends while moving around and staying active.
Every child has different ways that they like to play. Whatever way they like to play, there’s a way to get them outside. Here are some of my favorite picks. To find out more information about all of the toys below, as well as other great outdoor toys, visit ToyInfo.org.
For the kid who loves to always be moving, try:
- Gogo pogo stick
- Djubi Junior
- Nerf N-Sports Weather Blitz All Conditions Football
- Bella Butterfly Hopscotch
For the kid who loves to be creative, try:
- Outdoor Mandala Designer
- Enchanted Garden Stones
- Make Your Own Glitter Chalk
For the kid who loves nature, try:
- Butterfly Garden
- Explore the Wonders of Nature
- Creature Peepers
And remember to be safe! Whether you’re playing with your kids or just keeping a watchful eye, children need supervision while playing near the street or any type of water. If your kids are speeding off on bikes, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards, and other ride-on toys, tell them they’ve got a red light until they put on protective gear learn more about how to enjoy responsibly by reading this safe scooter review online. And when the sun is beating down, make sure everyone drinks lots of water, and don’t be shy about slathering on that sunscreen.
The whole point of buying toys is to encourage play—so make sure that your kid will be excited about playing with the type of toys you pick out for them. If they love exploring the outdoors more than playing basketball, keep that in mind when you’re shopping. It’s also important to make sure whatever toys and games you buy are age-appropriate. This is not just to be safe but to be certain that your child will enjoy the toy.
