#gno information!

Give a round of applause for our final featured GNO Gals in this week's election-themed Topic Talk posts:

See more Natalie Portman videos at Funny or Die

Spookiez Spot writes a short post about her DD on election day entitled "Why You SHOULDN'T Take Your Children to Vote." Her reason?

Because if they are a certain psycho opinionated 6 year old, with zero social inhibitions about making their voice heard, who really thinks that 6 year olds should be able to vote, AND only knows the name on one candidate, it can really turn into an embarrassing thing! LOL!

It was not easy to fill out my ballot with DD yelling at me "BUT I WANNA VOTE FOR JOHN MCCAIN!!!" doh

Momma Blogs a Lot provides three fun videos, including the Natalie Portman and Rashida Jones bit featured above. Check out her blog for more election-related video skits and commericals.

Mommy Wizdom provides several election-related posts and even hosted an Election-Night Blog party complete with prizes. This is one fun gal's blog you definitely want to check out.

Peanut Butter & Lullabies expresses her heartfelt sentiments in an election letter to children. She provides them with great advice, including this:

Remember that it is OK to vote your conscience. Your morals, your religion, your family, and your life experiences are what makes you who you are today. The vote that you cast is for the society that you hope for. Never apologize for standing up for what you believe in.

My Kids Registry shares the reasons why she voted for Obama and expresses her feelings on prejudice. In it, she writes:

I did not vote for Barack Obama because of his race or because he is a democrat. I voted for him because of his performance as a person and what he stands for, what he wants for America and the people. His presence is a strong one and I am confident he will be a great president.

I wish and it’s my hope as a parent that we as a country teach the generation of tomorrow that there is no color and stop using nationality & race as a roadblock for success.
