As a work-at-home mom, do you find it difficult to take care of your kids while working? Playing, fixing meals, feeding, bathing, and taking care of children can be a full-time job in and of itself. It's hard to find much time to do anything else let alone find time to work and earn an income. But, when your kids are napping or on a play date or when they get a little older, you may find the opportunity to do some quick and simple tasks on your computer, which could help you earn a little extra money.

1. Take Online Surveys

Completing online surveys is a great way to earn some extra money when you have a short amount of time to spend in front of the computer. There are several different websites available to sign up for that will send surveys directly to your inbox. You take the surveys on your own time, turn them in when you’re done, and earn a certain amount of money or rewards for each one. RewardIt is one such site, which allows you to earn points for each survey, then use them to shop at the RewardIt store.

2. Participate in Market Research

Similar to taking surveys, market research allows you to pick products you want to test, receive free samples of the products, then answer surveys about the products for the companies who send them to you. This is another great job busy moms can do while their kids are napping or on a play date, because it doesn’t take much time. You’ll have to wait for each product to come in the mail, and therefore may wish to sign up with several companies at once.

To partake in this new hobby, you research thousands of websites, newspapers, weekly ads, and other resources for the best coupons you can find to save on your next shopping trip. You can find several different couponing sites to browse through, support groups that help you find more of these sites, online chat rooms to discuss the best way to find and use your coupons, and many other resources online. When you find you have some time to yourself, you can sit comfortably in front of your computer and get to work.

If you like to write, you can turn your skill into a lucrative career, even with your busy schedule. There are websites that use Search Engine Optimization (SEO) articles to publish information that will be seen by thousands of people all over the Internet. SEO companies are always looking for people with good writing skills to sign up with them and produce these articles. The amount of assignments you accept is up to you, so you can do as many or as few as your schedule allows. Some companies pay per article, others per page view of your published articles.

As you can see, there are plenty of job opportunities available for you to work around your schedule with your kids. Once you determine which type of job you’d like, you can start researching them on the Internet, and get to work.
