Easter Cupcakes: Fast and Easy Holiday Dessert

foodsweet treatsclubs

Holiday meals with cute themed desserts, like Easter cupcakes, go hand in hand at our house. But nothing can take the joy out of the holiday faster  than spending so much time in the kitchen (like I did when baking these adorable sugar cookies from scratch) that you don't get to enjoy time with your family and other guests. That is why I'm a big fan of baking and serving cupcakes at holiday dinner parties. They are fast, easy to bake, and simple to clean up (similar to these cute Easter Dough Nests).

Easter Cupcakes: The Perfect Fast and Easy Holiday Dessert

As a busy mom, I love taking the guess work out of holiday baking. For these Easter cupcakes, I used a basic chocolate cake mix and chocolate frosting from Pillsbury along with a cupcake kit from Wilton. I always love heading to my nearest craft store to see what Wilton has to offer for fast and easy baking helps and they never disappoint. This "Bunny Rabbits Digging for Carrots" kit (my name, not theirs) is so clever with cute cupcake liners, toppers, and candy carrots. I tried it with both chocolate and green frosting (to look like grass), but the chocolate was a winner by far.

All you do is mix the cake and bake the cupcakes per the instructions on the box.

Then, frost the cupcakes.

From there, just add the toppers.

And last but not least, add the candy carrots to carry out the theme of your Easter Cupcakes.
