I loved reading the Ramona series as a child. My second grade teacher would read us a chapter every day after lunch, I looked forward to going to school every day to find out what she was going to do next. Then that summer, I would get a book in the series from the book mobile every week and got to read them all myself then I moved on to the Baby sitters club which I loved dearly also. I believe that it when my interest in reading really started and I owe that all to Beverly Cleary . She captivated my imagination and made me really enjoy reading.
I couldn’t fit it all in one Tweet it took two.

Hope I did that right! Cheerios are still my favorite cereal after all these years…I pretend to buy them for the kids! I would donate the books to the elementary school that I work at, for kids to take home. OVer 85% of them are from low income homes and my children have tons of books.
Right now my kids love listening to me read “The Monster at the End of This Book” by Jon Stone and “Higher! Higher!” by Leslie Patricelli. One of my favorite books when I was little was “Corduroy” by Don Freeman.

We have so many favorite books in our home! I think my favorite books to read to my five-year-old are the Magic Treehouse series. We devoured the entire series, reading one after the other together. My two-year-old loves all the Maisy books, especially the lift the flap ones. And he loves all of our Thomas books and the Sheep books (Sheep in a Jeep, Sheep Trick or Treat, etc.)
I loved The Pokey Little Puppy when I was little.
