    I create the perfect Easter Basket with tons of chocolate twix,Easter bunnies, kit kats,etc. First I forgot to mention you have to get a colorful Easter egg basket with bright purples yellows greens pinks. Then I put the fake grass in the basket usually colored purple and yellow also you can’t forget the green fake grass! Once again you load in the chocolates, peeps, little knick-knacks like pencils, chalk, etc. and you’re all set! Happy soon to be Easter lol! *crossing my fingers*

    There is a combination of homemade and store bought. When you buy good quality (i.e., Lindt), you don’t have to overdue it with the candy. I will also add some sort of fun age appropriate toy.

    The perfect basket starts with a basket I’ve had since I was a child and includes marble eggs that my mother had from before I was born. My daughter is 14 now and still anticipates waking up to these out along with plenty of chocolate to snack on.

    I fill my girls baskets with one big bunny and the little chocolates they love. Peanut butter for my oldest, caramel for my next oldest, and a little of both for my youngest. I also put party supply type toys in there. My two oldest girls are in they’re twenties and still ask about they’re baskets! They love the goofy little things that they still get. It’s what makes it so much fun for me!

    I don’t create an Easter basket because i do celebrate Passover. HOWEVER, i do celebrate Lindt chocolate, preferably the dark truffles or bars with the added flavors i.e. orange, sea salt, pear(dont know if you still make this one but it was delicious) every chance i get on any and all other days of the year.

    Some of the best fun I have is putting together the Easter baskets for my grandchildren. I’ve even been know to make one for the adults!! It would be great to make some for the residents of nursing homes or assisted living centers as some of these folks have no family.

    Growing up, we were a family of four with me being the only girl. At Easter, we all got Easter baskets filled with candy, marsh mellow chicks, and eggs that we colored. I can’t remember what kind of chocolate candy it was but I know we got chocolate bunnies. When we were young, my mother always hid several of our colored eggs for us to find. Sometimes the plastic eggs had pennies inside them. We saved the pennies to buy ice cream in the summer. Candy has always been a wonderful treat in my life.

    Chocolate, fun toys and bright colors. If the kids are a little older, some items that are more personal like fun socks or water squirters. Sidewalk chalk and bubbles are also fun. The chickens/rabbits that poop out jelly beans always brought squeals of laughter :-)

    I love personalizing the baskets. When I was raising my brothers, every year for Easter I would hand make their baskets!

    They are musicians, & both played drums, guitar, etc., so I would include some extra drumsticks(lol), candy, giftcards, & stuff like that..they turn out way better that way than buying the cheesy pre-made generic baskets lol

    I personalize each Easter basket according to the person and what they like; favorite chocolates, sweets, maybe DVD, etc.

    I always started by spray painting her basket silver, then the I would attach one of her tutus from her ballet recital around the outside rim of the basket. I always used Christmas Silver Tinsel for the grass. Then everything you can think of goes in there. Sometimes clothes, always candy, sometimes music, just something special the Easter Bunny knew she wanted. I miss her getting so big I wish she was still wide eyed and amazed every Easter Morning.

    I make perfect easter baskets for my kids since we never buy premade. I want them to be unique to each child & no as much candy as most stuff in there. We love to buy things that the kids enjoy & also need (toothbrushes & new toothpaste), books, outdoor games, DVD’s, clothing, new blankies, stuffed rabbit of course & a new nightlight. Outside chalk & water balloons are always a must as well as prefilled eggs with small surprises in them (toys or putty). I cherish making my kids baskets & will be so sad when my son doesn’t hunt next year but he will still be getting a basket until after college =)
