Medical Information To-Go with Merck Manual Consumer Phone App

Anybody who knows me knows that I prefer to do things the natural way. I am all about being self-reliant and self-sustainable as much as possible. With five kids on my heels, being self-sustaining is as much a lifestyle choice as it is a financial must. It means that we often have to get creative. It also means every single cough, sniffle, or sore throat does not necessarily merit a trip to the doctor’s office.
That’s why I am absolutely in love with the Merck Manual Consumer app. This little tool is perfect for those of us who want to lead the charge when it comes to our family’s health. One of the things I really like about this free app is that it offers and entire SECTION on natural and homeopathic remedies.
This little baby is filled with all kinds of important information that is useful not just in helping to research and treat issues that may arise with my family, but it also gives a ton of background information on treatments, why they are important, and what benefits we might expect from them.
Winter is always the time when we struggle the most with allergies, colds, and flu. Of course we take a lot of measures to stay healthy and germ-free. However, the inevitable bug here and there is hard to avoid. When one of the kids is down for the count, it isn’t always feasible to drag all of them to a doctor’s appointment just to be told that lots of rest, fluids, and time and they’ll be good as new. So the Merck Manual Consumer app is super helpful in helping to identify potential problems.
The app is absolutely free to download and use. It is super user-friendly and doesn’t have any ads. It also doesn’t collect ANY personal information when you install or use it, so there is nothing identifying about what you look up or research. You can also easily share information with friends or family with a touch of a button.
To download the Merck Manual Consumer app, Android users can go to the Google Play store by clicking here. Apple users don’t have to miss out on the fun, either. You can download the free app at the iTunes store by clicking here.
