6 Maternity Clothing Must-Haves
I tend to have a love-hate relationship with maternity clothes. Love 'em because they are much needed during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters. Hate 'em because it can be so hard to find cute ones at a decent price, since you'll only wear these items for a limited time. As I'm nearing the end of my second pregnancy, I've curated the "list" of the six maternity wear items you need, and all at decent prices. These basic items pair well with other articles of clothing to make great outfits AND they'll be the items you probably wear the most during pregnancy. Without further ado...
6 Maternity Must Haves
1. A belly band — I swear by the "BeBand" brand, available at Target (in store & online). Killer price, too! A belly band will help extend how long you can wear your non-maternity clothes. That ever-growing belly surpasses the length of my regular shirts early on, plus these cotton tees are comfortable—and comfort is near the top my list in pregnancy. Get 'em in multiple colors, trust me. My go-to places for these types of tops: asos (online only, but free shipping on orders $25+) and Target's Liz Lange maternity line. It's hard to find a good pair of maternity jeans without breaking the bank. I love these (pictured) skinny jeans from Old Navy (great price, too—$34.94). H&M also has amazing prices on its super-cute maternity jeans. (Image via) 4. Long tanks or camisoles — These fall in the same category as belly bands because an extra long maternity tank or camisole can extend the life of a non-maternity top by giving you some extra fabric to work with. Target's Liz Lange is my favorite here, too. Also check out H&M's tanks—super long and can't beat the price, usually under $10. (Image via) 5. Maxi dresses & skirts — Hello, comfort! And, style, so nice to see you, too. I am so grateful for so many stylish maternity maxi and skirt options. (Images: dress via; skirt via) 6. A little black dress — What? A LBD a must-have for maternity wear? ABSOLUTELY. Every pregnant woman deserves to look fabulous and feel sexy. I'm basically obsessed with the pictured dress (above) from asos and wear it every chance I get. Work, church, events, night out, etc. I love it so much, in fact, I've shared a whole list of LBDs I love (both maternity and non-maternity) over on my blog—check it out here. (Image via)
