Family Acitivies: Creating Disney Magic at Home

family funactivities

Disneyland

My family and I love vacationing with Disney. Disney World, Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland... it doesn't matter. We have made wonderful memories at all of these family-friendly destinations. When we aren't on vacation, it's fun to bring home a little of the magic. Here are some ways for you to start creating Disney magic at home.

Creating Disney Magic at Home

Have a Disney Dance Party

In June we took my 16-month-old son to Walt Disney World. He really got into the Move It, Shake It, Celebrate It street party. When we came home we started watching it on YouTube and had our own dance parties in the living room. By the time we went back down in August he was a pro and I knew exactly where to stand so we would be right in front of Mickey's float. You can look up any parade, show or ride on YouTube and enjoy the Disney ambiance at home.

Have a Disney-themed Movie Night

Pick a favorite Disney movie and have a themed night that goes along with the movie. For instance, if you are having a Monsters, Inc. movie night, you could snack on monster-sized cookies. Or, if Beauty and the Beast is a family favorite eat off the nice china and have your own feast... maybe even make some grey stuff.

Bring Some Mickey Into the Kitchen

If you have already gone on a Disney vacation try to re-create some of your favorite snacks that you enjoyed there. Making Mickey cupcakes with the help of Oreos is a fun way to keep that Disney magic alive at home. You could surprise your kids one morning before school with Mickey pancakes.

What are fun ways you can bring your favorite vacations home with you?
