Homemade Sidewalk Chalk
Every day after nap my three old and I do some type of craft. This week we made homemade sidewalk chalk. Sidewalk chalk is super easy to make and is not very expensive. Next time your child want to do a craft, reach in your cupboard and get some corn starch and food coloring, it is really that easy.
Homemade Sidewalk Chalk
Ingredients
- Cornstarch
- Food coloring
- Water
- Paint brush
- Egg container*/muffin tin
Note: I like to keep our used egg containers for projects like these. Plus it's an easy way to clean up!
Directions
- Place 2 tbsp of cornstarch in a few sections (depends on how many colors you'd like to make).
- Place 2 tbsp of water on the same sections.
- Drop 3-5 drops of food coloring (depends on how vibrant you want each color).
- Paint on sidewalk.
What is your favorite summer craft?
