Slow Cooker Apple Cider
This super easy Slow Cooker Apple Cider is perfect for chilly days and holiday parties. No fuss, simple ingredients, and delicious! Break out the crock pot before your next event and make some delicious spiced apple cider.
Slow Cooker Apple Cider
There is a bit of chill in the air in the mornings these days, so that makes me think of my favorite winter drink. Apple Cider! It's so easy to make too. Gone are the days of my apple juice in the microwave with some red hots...I prefer a much more complex flavor in my cider.
The flavors may be complex, but the recipe couldn't be easier! Just throw it on low for a couple hours and you're done! It makes an amazing drink for cold days, coming in from the snow, holiday parties, or just because you are tired of coffee and hot cocoa.
I love making this cider for all my holiday parties. It's easy to have on hand...just turn on the slow cooker a couple hours before the party. Then when the party starts, turn the cooker to warm. All your party goers will love it! Plus, since it's super easy to throw together, you can keep a big pot going all night.
Slow Cooker Apple Cider Ingredients
- 1 {64 oz} bottle apple juice
- 3-4 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tsp whole cloves
- 1 tsp whole star anise
- 2 tbls brown sugar
- 1/2 cup orange juice
Slow Cooker Apple Cider Directions
Place everything in a slow cooker. Cook on low until hot (about 2-3 hours). Serve in festive mugs with extra cinnamon sticks.
Note: Use caution when serving, not to serve up the whole spices. Ladle cider carefully or use a cheesecloth tied shut with the spices inside to keep the spices from being served.
This is delicious enough to use even if you don't have a holiday party coming up! When will you try this recipe?
