Sweet Pickles: Tuesday #gno Twitter Party

#gno information!#gno featured

Did you love to read as a kid? Do your kids share your love of reading? During the #gno Twitter party with Sweet Pickles on Tuesday, October 23, we will be sharing our favorite children’s books, literary inspirations, and what tips and tricks you’ve found help your kids embrace reading!

Sweet Pickles is one of the most successful juvenile literary properties ever debuted back in 1978 and has been a launch pad for laughs and lessons ever since. The series was created by Jaquelyn Reinach, Richard Hefter and Ruth Lerner Perle and sold more than 50 million copies. The books are set in the fictional town of Sweet Pickles and are about anthropomorphic animals with different personalities and behavior – for example, “Goose Goofs Off!”  There are 26 animals—one for each letter of the alphabet. The Sweet Pickles books were even read in various episodes of the classic TV series Captain Kangaroo!

In 2012, Sweet Pickles is celebrating its 35th Anniversary and the books have been re-released as digitally enhanced E-Books. These “read-alongs” include professional sound effects, narration and character voices performed by award-winning voice actors to help create a fun, memorable and engaging reading experience for the whole family.

The 26 award-winning Sweet Pickles books are now available as interactive read-a-longs for iPad, Kindle and more e-readers so kids of a whole new generation can discover their lessons and values!
