We all want to provide our kids with toys that are educational and entertaining as well. Mom it Forward was able to attend a great event put on by Time To Play that gave parents a sneak peak at the top new educational toys for 2012/2013.

Leap Frog has come out with it's newest award winning LeapPad, the LeapPad2, geared for ages three to nine. The LeapPad2 has even more features and comes with five new apps that will encourage your kid's creativity and make learning fun. It also includes front and back cameras and video recorder, which will store up to 4GB of memory. How fun for kids to be able to document their play time and learn at a young age how to use those motor skills? It also includes a variety of eBooks, music, videos, and games all geared to enhance your child's creativity and exploration.

Eric Carle, the award winning author, has come out with a new toy line, The world of Eric Carle. These toys promote fun and playful learning. For over 40 years, children have been able to experience Eric Carle's timeless stories and amazing visual art. His toys not only promote fun learning but also incorporate his art. Here is a fun fact about Eric Carle's timeless book A Very Hungry Caterpillar: it is purchased every 30 seconds around the world. My personal favorite toy in this line is the Attachable Activity Caterpillar. This toy provides many functions for my one-year-old and can attach to my stroller or crib.

Kinder Town is another great educational tool. This is an educational app store and teaching guide that finds all the best apps and activities for young kids so parents don't have to spend time searching. Kinder Town is completely free and has been ranked the best discovery tool for educational apps by users. The founder of Kinder Town, Steve Welch, wanted to provide a tool that would help improve early childhood education by empowering busy parents.
