This Bubbly Cranberry Apple Cider is the perfect holiday drink for all your parties and it's perfect for everyone on your guest list.

Bubbly Cranberry Apple Cider

I love sparkling apple cider this time of year and I probably shouldn't admit how much of it I actually drink every year {we buy it by the case sometimes}.  But for a holiday, it just needs to be jazzed up a little.  And what's better for a holiday party than adding some festive cranberries.

The problem is just plopping in a bunch of cranberries isn't what I have in mind..although it would totally work and be pretty.  I wanted something a bit more "cocktail" like and I thought taking away the tartness of the berries and adding the mashed cranberries to the drink would make a lovely (and tasty) drink.

I could drink these all night!  The kids loved them too! Of course there is nothing stopping you from swapping the sparkling apple cider with some chilled sparkling wine.

Bubbly Cranberry Apple Cider Ingredients

  • 1 bottle sparkling apple cider
  • 1 bag cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup water

Bubbly Cranberry Apple Cider Directions

Refrigerate sparkling apple cider 8 hours or overnight to chill.

Combine cranberries, sugar and water in a medium pot.  Heat over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves and the berries start to pop.  Use a large spoon or potato masher to gently mash some of the berries.  Transfer mixture to bowl that is fitted with a lid and place in refrigerator and let chill completely.  (This mixture can be made a couple days in advance and stored in the refrigerator until party time.)

When guests are arriving, add 1 tablespoon of the cranberry mixture to each champagne glass and top with with sparkling apple cider.
